The city of Howard Lake is a charming little lake community just West of Minneapolis with a brand new library that needed some love. They wanted a reading room mural that embraced the community with a sense of whimsy and fun that would engage readers of all ages. We landed on an incredibly fun hand painted mix of books, nature and local landmarks - long time library supporter Penny the Pup even made an appearance!
